March 8: International Women's Day

We move, we act, we march for WOMEN'S RIGHTS!

Every 90 seconds, a woman dies giving birth. That's 359,000 mothers lost in one year!

Women have the right to life, but they die in large numbers because of poverty, injustice and subordination.

Women have the right to the highest attainable standard of health, but they face economic, cultural and social obstacles in access to health care.

Women have the right to determine when they become pregnant, but they are often denied control over their own bodies.

Join Amnesty International Philippines as it marches with more than 4,000 women and women's rights advocates on March 8, 2011.

March starts at Blumentritt, corner Espana, to Mendiola, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The briefing and assembly will take place at the Secretariat Office.
Interested members may join at 6:30 am at 18-A Marunong Street, Barangay Central, Quezon City.
