The Reality

MASS COMMUNICATOR'S SOCIETY

Mass Communication Society (MCS) in Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) is small in population. The students taking up Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication (ABMC) are mostly women. Just so you know, there are men too.

I have decided to take up Mass Communication course because I think this could challenge my capabilities. It did. This course has to do with broad topics in communication. To name some, in Journalism there are a lot of variety to choose from, we have Broadcast Journalism, Environmental Journalism, alike.

We also delve in writing for print, television, and radio. Even though we lack equipment, we make more out of less. There were also hindrances but we never mind them, not at all.

Being in this organization has accumulated my understanding of the course. I am oriented with the kind and/or way of teaching we have. Sometimes we were left alone to do our job and sometimes we were with someone who knew about it.

Nowadays, we are pressured with a lot of things. Projects from left to right. We do a lot of articles or write ups and that's our job. But, we were made to recognize the wrong thing from the right. We could no longer be hesitant to do our task because we already know, at least, the basics.

From this point in time, I might end up jobless like many people suffering from the effect of the global economic financial crisis. But would you think you cannot get one if you strive to have one? No, if they can why not you?

The bottom line here, is that, I wanted not just to share the difficulties and thrills of a Mass Communication student but I wanted you
also to know that you can do anything if you just strive hard. Any course, as long as you see yourself that you love and has passion on whatever you do, so be it and you could do it.

Parents could no longer dictate you on the things you wanted to do because at the end of the day you will be the one to suffer from your misdeeds. Just be positive every problem has an answer. God provided answers not the problem, remember?! We are just too lazy to manage drawing our faith into it.

I think I talk too far. Having 'nosebleeds'? Well sorry to cause you trouble in reading this. Cannot find something to do. But again let me remind you, realities of life is so strict and prevailing...

God bless us all! Thank you for giving your time reading this. Correct me if I'm wrong! Just drop your comments by. Have a nice and good day!
