The Character behind the Voice

By Dorothy Mae Acabo

“Maayong Buntag Kapares,” these are the words we usually hear from a disc jockey (DJ) in one of the city’s most favorite fm station, 106.3 Yes FM.

The DJ I am referring to is no other than Jeremiah It-it or whom we popularly know as “DJ Rem”. DJ Rem considers his voice a God-given gift since it opens his doors to popularity and leads him the way to real happiness.

Not your ordinary guy, DJ Rem lives his life to the fullest in a balanced way. While studying Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, he is as well a new writer of the student publication and is currently active in many organizations. He likes light colors and usually does the singing especially while washing the dishes.

At your first look on him, he seems to be a silent guy, but as you explore and dig deeper on his identity, he is not that what you think of, which proves that first impressions are somehow wrong.

Since he always looks on the brighter side of life, DJ Rem is a kind of person who is willing to try everything, even though it might end failure or not, because he always sticks to his motto, “it’s now or never.”

Aside from what he has now, DJ Rem is still looking forward to achieve his ultimate goal in life - to entertain people and bring smiles to their lonely faces.
