"No real evidence of organized relief and rescue operation around Tacloban. I haven't seen much of a relief effort, I haven't seen a large military presence. There is no leader, there is no government, there is no civil defense in the Philippines." – Anderson Cooper on CNN

"Itong si Anderson Cooper, sabi wala daw government presence sa Tacloban. Mukhang hindi niya alam ang sinasabi niya." – Korina Sanchez on DZMM

The Unfortunate Death of AJ Perez

AJ Perez posing beside Rico Yan's photo at the ABS-CBN Hallway.

“I'll take character over reputation. Your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.” --- AJ Perez

AJ Perez’s mere resemblance to Rico Yan ended up with the same fate...

The Shocking Similarities:
*ABS-CBN talents
*Baby Face
*La Sallitas
*Died in Holy Week
*Died asleep
*Wakes held at La Salle Greenhills
*Laid to rest at Manila Memorial Park

Rico Yan died at the age of 27 of Acute Hemorrhagic Pancreatitis on March 29, 2002 in Palawan while, AJ Perez passed away at age 18 on April 17, 2011 in a vehicular accident.

Star Magic head Johnny Manahan found AJ to follow Rico's footsteps. He reportedly said, “Given the chance, he can be another Rico Yan.” (A repost from Noypistuff.blogspot.com)

Here’s a video of the TV commercial with AJ Perez...

May you rest in peace AJ Perez... You will be missed!!! ;')

Some Major [Major] Events

Just last week, on August 23, 2010 marked the day that changed the Philippines' image and made it to the top of every newspaper, online news sites, social networking and others; that also creates different outlooks from foreign folks and neighboring countries.

First was the hostage crisis at Quirino Grandstand, Manila which killed nine people---five were Hongkong Chinese nationals, three Canadian nationals, and the hostage-taker himself. Second was the crowning of Miss Universe 2010 that led the representative of the Philippines, Venus Raj, at the fourth place held at Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas.

Here's some points about the events that happened and changed everything.

The Bus Hostage Crisis

*People are pointing who's to blame
.

Miss Universe 2010 Crowning
*"What was your great mistake, and what have you done to correct it?"

This is simply part of growing up.

PiErCeD.,.

.,.when the clock stops tick-tock.,.

We really couldn't tell the time when and where we will die. Probably tomorrow, the next day, or perhaps today? Will you be ready? But to tell you in all honesty, me, I'm not! Maybe it's so easy to utter these words, 'when it is time, it is time'. Well, we all end up dead and go back to where we belong, as they say: you came from soil, you'll be back to the soil.

The thing I wanted to share is when you died because of something fought, would it sound justifiable? I'm not relating to a war, when you have engage to it you already consider yourself dead. Anyway, let's go back, the reason of the fight was really simple but it only end up to death of either sides or worst both.

Just past few hours, the street where I resided was mobbed. People crowding were busy discussing what happened. They were really noisy. But then I heard 'blood'. Yup they were talking about the incident where two persons fought and were bringing knives and stabbing each other. Oh my God! What would you expect? Death!
